Common questions
Where are my documents kept?
In the folder you choose. Twainty opens and saves ordinary Markdown files where they are: nothing is converted, imported or locked into a library, and the same files open in any other editor.
Twainty can't open a folder it used before.
Twainty from the Mac App Store can only open the files and folders you've chosen yourself, and it remembers each one. If a folder can no longer be opened, choose it again with , and Twainty will remember it from then on.
Will I lose unsaved changes if I quit?
No. Twainty keeps unsaved changes as a draft of its own, apart from your file, and brings them back the next time it opens. Your file itself only changes when you save it.
How do I change Twainty's language?
Open Settings with ⌘ , and choose one under ; Twainty offers to restart in it. It's available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French and Spanish.
Why did a large file open as plain text?
Markdown files larger than 1 MB open as plain text, so that typing in them stays fast. Everything in them can still be edited and saved.
